Confessions, Favorites and Peeves

20 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Me Nuz Say It with BooksThe "20 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Me" tag has been going around the blogosphere for some time and I was even tagged to do it

Since all the cool kids are doing it, I couldn't resist! ;) So here we go...

How tall are you?

I'm around 5 '3 and among my friends that's pretty tall so I mostly stick to flats. But there are days when I just need a pair of sky high heels! ;)

Do you have a hidden talent and if so, what?

I'm naturally thin and will not gain an ounce no matter how much I binge eat. So I guess my super power is an insatiable appetite?

What is your biggest blog-related pet peeve?

Friday Finds (01)

Friday Finds is an event hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading where we showcase the books you ‘found’ and added to your To Be Read (TBR) list… whether you found them online, or in a bookstore, or in the library — wherever! (they aren’t necessarily books you purchased).

Nuzaifa's Friday Find:

Author: Laura Wiess
Title: Me Since You
Expected Publication: Sept 3 2013

Sixteen-year-old Rowan is still reeling from her father’s suicide four months ago, after he failed to stop a man from leaping off an overpass to his death. The only witness is Eli, a teenaged boy wrapped deep in mourning for his own father, killed in action in Afghanistan. When Rowan and Eli meet, they recognize kindred spirits, and begin to navigate grief and its aftermath together.Rowan can’t understand how her father could choose to leave her, and acts out, pushing away friends and taking risks with her safety. Rowan’s mother, wracked with her own guilt and sorrow over failing to save her husband, stops going to work and collects stray cats for comfort. Grief, fractured and unpredictable, rules their lives now. Rowan is lost—and sinking. But Eli represents a lifeline for Rowan, and as they struggle to make sense of what’s gone and what is left behind, they begin to fall in love. Me Since You is Laura Wiess at her finest—a beautiful, gripping and painfully honest examination of adolescence.
Why I added it to my TBR? Gorgeous Cover-Love title font. And my all time fave author,Ellen Hopkins approves...

“Laura Wiess’s masterful prose kept me turning the pages. This is the first book in a very long time that made me say, ‘Wish I’d written this’” ~(Ellen Hopkins, author of Crank, on Such a Pretty Girl.
Rachel's Friday Find:

Author: Shelly Crane
Title: Wide Awake
Published: March 22 2013

A girl.
A coma.
A life she can't remember.
When Emma Walker wakes up in the hospital with no knowledge of how she got there, she learns that she's been in a coma for six months. Strangers show up and claim to be her parents, but she can't remember them. She can't remember anyone. Not her friends, not even her boyfriend. Even though she can't remember, everyone wants her to just pick up where she left off, but what she learns about the 'old her' makes her start to wish she'd never woken up. Her boyfriend breaks up with the new girl he's dating to be with her, her parents want her to start planning for college, her friends want their leader back, and her physical therapist with the hazel eyes keeps his distance to save his position at the hospital.
Will she ever feel like she recognizes the girl in the mirror?

Why I added it to my TBR? Why I added it to my TBR? I stumbled upon it on Facebook when it was shared by Lilliana Anderson, author of A Beautiful Struggle, and I clicked the Amazon link. And it's on sale 'til April 5, so I thought I might look at it on Goodreads.
So I did and read a few reviews about it and told myself that I should go give it a try. Plus, love the look on the girl's face on the cover! :) (I also think that Katy Perry's Wide Awake influenced me a little, hehe shallow right, but just a teeny tiny bit!)

So tell us what did you add to your TBR this week? If you have a Friday Finds post please feel free link us up! Happy Reading! :)

My Book Haul #4

In My Mailbox is a weekly event hosted by The Story Siren and Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted @ Tynga's Reviews.

As a part of my new year resolution I was hoping NOT to buy a lot of books since my TBR pile is so huge and I've a LOT of ebooks that I've put on hold for about six months.

And as usual my plans to be good this year were foiled when I won an Amazon Giftcard,I couldn't let the card go to waste so I decided to go on a little shopping spree and got some super awesome books!

See that was soooo not my fault. *smirks*

So here's what I bought :
