Title: Two Roads
Author: L.M. Augustine
Expected Release Date: August 26th, 2013
Category/Genre: New Adult Romance
Blurb:

The only person poetry-loving Cali Monroe hates more than herself is Logan Waters, the geeky kid who lives in the dorm building next to hers.

Ever since Cali's parents told her she would amount to nothing, she has felt entirely inadequate. Friendless and alone, she takes on the mean girl role in hopes it will make her feel better--and Logan serves as the perfect target. He infuriates her with his obnoxiously long lashes, his all too perfect dimpled smile, and his complete lack of personality outside of his intelligence. It doesn't hurt that he's part of the reason her brother is dead, either. So Cali hates him, and he returns the favor. Thus, their prank-filled, insult-driven rivalry is born, and torturing Logan quickly becomes the highlight of her life.

But when Cali's parents set them up on a blind date, she begins to realize Logan might not be as boring as she always thought. He shares her love of poetry, takes a sadistic pleasure in making fun of crepes, and he makes her blush when he calls her smile pretty.

And hey, maybe those long lashes of his aren't that obnoxious after all...

May - Monthly Wrap Up

May was a pretty slow month on the blog compared to April. Both Rachel and I went through a few changes career-wise so we were unable to interact with our readers and other bloggers. Rachel started her internship, I switched jobs and we had to organize the Indie Self-Published Author Event for June so yep, it has been a crazy month! But we definitely enjoyed reading/reviewing our newly acquired books and talking to kick ass authors and great readers/bloggers!
Stats-wise: Lots of new followers so welcome, we hope you guys are having fun! Thank you so much for all the lovely e-mails, blog post comments, tweets, Goodreads and Facebook messages(553 Likes-Yay!). We might not have had time to return your thoughts but trust me we both loved each and everyone of them! :)
Reviews on the blog:
The Boyfriend App is a refreshingly fun and cutesy story that readers will surely like!

This is a recommended read for the mystery fans out there.
Always Remember is a novel you will surely not forget because it’s a lighthearted read that will make you laugh but at the same time, knock you off your feet.
But the real question is “Would I read the sequel?”
Click to Subscribe is a refreshingly adorable debut novel by Augustine that will surely make your hearts flutter and crave for chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles on top.
Going Under has it all.

So go on take a look at the awesome-ness of Merch Girl!
Merch Girl by Rebecca Lewis
Author: Rebecca Lewis
Title: Merch Girl
Expected Date of Publication: May 4 2013
Synopsis:
Seventeen-year-old Lacey Kind doesn’t have the guts to talk to cute boys, isn’t a size two, and would rather stay home and listen to music than go to a party. But in the summer before her first year of college, she ends up thousands of miles away from home, in the back of a tour bus, underneath the half-naked body of the hottest teen rock star in the country.

When Lacey and her best friend Trina sneak into a Boston nightclub to see their favorite band, they not only get to watch their rock gods perform for the first time, but score a chance to meet the band too. Lacey’s heart races as she comes face-to-face with her idol, nineteen-year-old lead singer, Logan Shire.

The girls charm their way into being hired to sell merchandise on Lansdowne’s first summer tour. As “merch girls” Lacey and Trina quickly find themselves transported from their ordinary, suburban life to an exhilarating few months on the road. But they soon realize that life on the road isn’t always a smooth ride...
Sounds great, doesn't it? :) So go on, add it to your TBR list!
Music is a huge inspiration for me. Not just in writing my novel, Merch Girl, but in everyday life. The band that would change my life forever came around in 1997. I was thirteen and just starting High School when I heard Mmmbop on the radio. I was mesmerized; I couldn’t shake the song from my head!
My passion for Hanson’s music, and many other bands that came along the way after, fueled my interest in the music industry. I made my way into the Boston music scene in college where I worked promotions and sold merchandise for local and national bands, as well as holding internships for indie and major record labels in New York City.

The idea for Merch Girl was always swimming around in my head, and as I wrote it, these are some of the songs that kept me going:

Today is a special day because it's the first day of my vacation from school (YAY!) and it's my very first cover reveal!

So now, who doesn't fancy a story of young love?
We are very lucky to have N.K. Smith today on our blog for the cover reveal of her latest novel. Everyone say hi to N.K.! :)

Are you ready to be captivated by the story and the stunning cover made by Mae I Design and Photography and photography by Poly Mendes Photography? So now, let me present you the lovely cover of Are You Mine? ...

Title: Are You Mine?
Author: N.K. Smith
Published: June 2013-Free Yourself Press
Synopsis:

Human connection? Who needs it?

Ever since she can remember, wealthy but weary Saige Armstrong has felt different from her peers in Pechimu, New Jersey. With only one good friend to her name, she has navigated the complicated halls of high school and is now faced with the timeless question: Now what?

Fox Harrington, a fun-loving, socially charismatic graffiti artist uses his passions to color his world exactly how he wants it. He knows exactly where his life is headed. That is, until he meets Saige.

A summer project links the two together, making a tentative friendship bloom into romance, but despite their affection for each other, fundamental beliefs and ways of thinking threaten to destroy all they have built.

In this tender story of young love, N.K. Smith delivers a striking tale of two people standing on the precipice of adult life.

Don't forget to add it on your TBR list! :)

    Teaser

Before I know it, he’s really close to me. Our bodies so close they are touching. He moves his hand from my wrist, so now our palms are together, fingers interlaced. Fox’s other hand is against the small of my back. My cheek rests against his chest. I hold my breath.

It’s awkward at first, but as I relax into his body and allow him to move us, I can see the private dance for what it is. An exchange. I breathe in and feel his chest rise against mine. He’s giving me a little bit of his calm. I don’t know if it’s on purpose or if I’m making it all up because I’ve spent too much time talking to Val about his new-aged hippie ideas on energy, but for some reason, it doesn’t matter right now. All that matters is that I’m pressed against him in this little basement where no one can see us, and he’s holding me like I’ve never let anyone do before.
