First of all, the cover’s GORGEOUS!!!! So a plus point for that. *winks*
..And, if you’re looking for a really sweet and endearing story, The Truth About Faking is perfect for you! I’ve always wanted to read a story about two people trying to fake a relationship and end up getting confused along the way. I guess it’s the challenge to not fall in love that’s somewhat exciting in stories like this.
I loved Jason the most in this story because he’s funny, easygoing, charming and he somehow manages to make everyone around him feel comfortable. I don’t know what’s in him but it’s not just the friendliness that makes him very likeable. I think he has this special way with people he interacts with that makes them want to know more about him, and that’s exactly what I feel about Jason – I want to know MORE about him because I just can’t seem to get enough.
As for Harley, I honestly did not like her at first because she always tends to be daydreaming about her future husband, Trent, and she also has this planned out future for the both of them even though there is nothing going on between the two of them. And she seems to live in this fairytale world where there’s always a happy ending in every story. But after thinking about it, didn’t we all kind of imagine ourselves with our ideal boyfriends too way back in high school? And maybe even up until now. Also, I like how she treated Shelly, her best friend, even though she didn’t have that good of a reputation in school. You wouldn’t even think that it’s possible for the two of them to be friends.
For the other characters in the book, I especially admired the bravery of Ricky, the strength of Trent and the attitude of Harley’s mother. I’d like to commend Leigh Talbert Moore for putting up a story where there were certain sensitive issues touched but she did it in a very appealing and interesting way.
The Truth About Faking brought back memories of my high school life. It made me remember that there may be different types of people surrounding us, but there’s always that one thing which makes each and every one of us special so we must learn to appreciate them while they’re there. It is also a story of trust, hope and new beginnings.

The Truth About Faking was a YA Contemporary that I enjoyed reading very much last year. When I saw that Leigh had another sequel lined up for it I immediately added it to my TBR list. I'm glad I did that because I enjoyed The Truth About Letting Go even more than Truth #1!
The Truth About Letting Go is a character-driven story that portrays friendship, love, loss and issues in heart-warming and realistic way. It was very very easy to love the characters that Leigh brought to life in The Truth About Letting Go! The pain, frustration, fear and grief that Ashley felt while dealing with the loss of her dad is presented in such a a manner that it felt completely raw and honest. Each person has their own way of dealing with grief-Ashley chose to not feel any of it by rebelling and acting out. Watching her grow, learn from her mistakes, realize that there is no “right” way to deal with her grief and fall in love was amazing!
And Jordan?? Damn, all I can say is this guy was frigging perfect! Leigh Talbert Moore you create THE best characters!
Colt was the other guy. Despite all his shortcomings, crazy pranks and careless ways I liked him. He had his good guy moments and he did help Ashley see what exactly she was doing.
I loved the fact that each of the characters; Charlotte, Will, Colt and Jordan played equally important roles in helping Ashley grow as a person! I felt that Ashley's relationship with her bestie, Mandy could have been portrayed better.
The writing was beautiful and the story had a great flow so I didn't want to put the book down until I finished it. Leigh took a story-line that has been used many times to recreate it and turn into something wonderful and moving!
The Truth About Letting Go is definitely worth a read for fans of contemporary books! I'm totally looking forward to reading more of Leigh's books!

Meet the Author
Leigh Talbert Moore wrote her first graphic novel about a lady scientist burned by acid at the age of nine. Sadly, the text of Fury Woman was lost, and Leigh’s novelist aspirations were put on hiatus. Then, after a decade working in journalism, editing, marketing, and public relations, she began writing books again, and in 2009 completed Dragonfly.
Today, Leigh is the author of the popular young adult romantic comedy The Truth About Faking, its companion, The Truth About Letting Go, a new adult romantic suspense novel Rouge, which was a 2013 ABNA Quarter Finalist, and the Dragonfly series, a contemporary YA to new adult romantic saga.
Leigh lives with her husband and two young children in the Midwest, where she conjures new worlds, characters, and situations while playing chauffeur, chaperone, group activity leader, and referee. And she’s still trying to remember the plot of Fury Woman…
