August was a pretty great month on the blog, we got some stuff done without stressing out and feeling burned out.
I've decided to blog at my own pace instead of trying to keep up with everyone else-And it feels great to do this instead of worrying about posting regularly and stuff. Having a co-blogger definitely helps since I tend to go MIA a lot!
We wanna say hello to our new followers, we hope you guys are having fun! Thank you so much for being part of Say It with Books, you guys are awesome. And both Rachel and I are thankful for every visit and every lovely comment that you guys left!

I think what YA books do well is to create a heightened, fairy tale ideal of our world. Love stories are powerful and all-consuming, main characters are driven by a sense of destiny, the fate of worlds is held in the hands of higher beings. I think that’s great because it fires the reader’s imagination.Daria's 25 & The Anatomy Series Giveaway

Splintered is a wonderful retelling of the original Alice in Wonderland. Readers will love the madness, romance, action, and the dark twists and turns of the story. Howard’s outstanding writing, bizarre but loveable characters and mysteriously fresh tale will take you to a whole world where everything is unexpected yet fascinating.
Love re-tellings? Authors Kim Askew and Amy Helmes have put their own spin on Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet in their new Shakespeare-inspired YA novel, Anyone But You!

I'm always so impressed that you both can do so many reviews in the month! You read so fast! Also OMG The Dream Thieves!!! I've heard so many good things about it!! At least I only have to wait 17 days for it now. I didn't want to request an ARC for it because that would have meant I'd have to wait even longer for book three. The early reviews have been really great for it, so I hope you enjoy it Nuzaifa!
ReplyDeleteI've never read any of Sarah Dessen's books, but The Moon and More sounded like a really good one. I hope you enjoy it Rachel :).
Have a great September :)

Savindi
