A Relaunch?
Blogging is an amazing thing.Seriously.Trying to put into words how awesome this whole experience had been for me is pretty much impossible.
Blogging has given me the opportunity to rave and rant about books without sounding like a complete retard.And when I discovered that I wasn't alone in my craziness?Heaven.I started back in November,the welcome and support from all other bloggers and other lovers of all things book-ish has been awesome.
But.There's always a but isn't there?The whole 'meeting other bloggers,chatting with all my fave authors and stumbling across new books' thing has been epic.But I'd be lying if I say that all of it has been great.All those bazillion review requests,blog tours,social networking and all the other things that I unwittingly signed up for has been draining.
With a full time job and a life outside the blogosphere(quit smirking-I do have one) it has been tough to post regularly and meet the deadlines.And the worst part?I had to cut back on my blog-stalking and reading time! *gasp*
A Co-Blogger
So I decided to get myself a co-blogger.This was a hard choice to make since I'm kinda evil territorial.But then I met Rachel on Goodreads and she told me about how she wished she could start blogging.See it was totally meant to be! ;)
So after I did a lil background check on her(Nothing much Rach,just making sure you weren't a serial killer/puppy kicker) I asked her and she said yes!

DeleteThis new design is truly gorgeous. I love the colour scheme, the header, it's all so beautiful. I get how hard it is to balance the blog with life, I know that I can't read and post and comment as much as I'd love to because I have so much work to do. When the exams come, I probably won't post anything for a time. I'm glad you found the right person to share your blog with, Nuzaifa. :)

As for what book I'd go for, hmmm. I've read every book but Grave Mercy on there, which I have as a library copy, and I loved all of them. Such a hard choice! But I think...maybe...Divergent? Thanks for the fabulous giveaway!

ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose... Ooh, tough decision. Any of Nuzaifa's books or Rachel's Divergent pick (because I've heard good things but have never read it). Really though, a free book is a free book so who would complain? (And if they do complain, take it back and give it to me! Haha jk :))

Oh you're too sweet! But yes, every where I look both on book blogs and on Goodreads everyone is saying great things about it. If I don't have it by the time uni is over at the end of April, I will definitely have to run out and buy it!

DeleteI do like the old design, but I think I prefer the new one. I typically prefer lighter color schemed designs on blogs; they feel more "open" I guess? More space? Not sure, but they're my preference.

ReplyDeleteI usually severely dislike pink, but for some reason I find it relaxing here! Might be because I love flowers so much! And it's not too pink either. Well organized too. In a word (actually three): I like it!
ReplyDeleteAs for the books, I'm not quite sure.. Grave Mercy's cover and story sorts of draws me in (I'm French and my ancestors are from Brittany and I really like the plot. On the other end, I'd tell you I love you sounds like a rather fun read! And something in Along for a Ride makes me want to see how that plot is handled... I know I have very few chances of winning, but this'll at least give me hints as far what books to look for *once I've reached the end of the piles surrounding me >.<*
